Brief Introduction

The South Milford Women's Institute, Leeds. We are an active group with over 50 members each bringing lots of energy, enthusiasm and diversity to our group. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month. Why not come along and enjoy anything from a Belly Dancing night to a Chocolate Tasting Evening to a "Night at the Casino!"

Browse our website for information about the WI members, how to contact us and discover the range of uses that our WI hall has..... the hall is used daily during the week and on an evening for a whole range of activities from a children's playgroup to Tai Chi on an evening to birthday bookings on a weekend. The hall is a fundamental part of the local community and your membership will help to keep the Wi Hall open for everyone to enjoy......!

Our Community Involvement

Earlier this year, after the closing of the South Milford Post Office, the Community of South Milford campaigned for its successful reopening! Please support your local post office whenever you can.

The South Milford post office offers a good range of fresh fruits, vegetables, bakery and groceries. So why not pick up a bagel and a stamp at the same time. This is a fantastic asset to our village.

The car park of the Women's Institute is available for customers of the post office.

The "WI Baby Clinic - Chat & Weigh"

Hiring The WI Hall

Every Monday 3.00- 4.30pm

Health Visitor: 3.00-4.00pm

Over the past year the committee members have worked very hard to provide a baby clinic within the WI hall (as there is no longer a baby clinic offered at the doctors surgery in South Milford)

This clinic has been a fantastic success and is such a great way to meet other mums with babies and toddlers as well as having your baby weighed by the Health Visitor at the same time!

There are toys, play mats and other children's equipment which makes this a great place for your baby or toddler to have fun whilst you have a chat with friends.

The Clinic is solely run by volunteers so if you feel that you could help out one afternoon any help would be greatly appreciated.

The hall offers a range of facilities to the local community, it is used both day and night for a range of activities and can be booked for your children's' birthday party...
Hall Hire - Includes the use of the following facilities: Kitchen with Microwave, Fridge, Hot Water Boiler, Kettle, Tables and Chairs. Toilets: Separate Male and Female Toilets plus baby changing facilities. Parking: Our own car park Small garden to the rear of the hall.
